RE: Does Gulfstream make a good trailer?
Hi
I purchased Gulfstreams most expensive trailer in 2002, it was a Yellowstone Capri, XL. it was nearly $42K on the sticker.
It was the biggest piece of $h!t I ever owned! Nearly $11K in warranty claims that were never paid to the dealer from the manufacturer. My dealer stood on his head to please me after each major issue I had,
1) Wrong Axles 3500lb axles on a 11,025 GVRW
2) Load range "C" Tires
3) Springs rated at 1750 lbs
4) Bent Tounge on fourth trip out
5) half the thermopane windows were not installed upon deliver.
6)Green decor in the Living room, Blue Decor in the front bedroom, and something entirely different in the back bedroom.
7) Sofa bed missing base
8) Sofa bed hit cabinents when open , would not open fully.
9)Towel racks fell off the walls& doors on the trip home from the dealership
10) Rubber roof adhesive all over the carpets
After 4 years and several thosand dollars of both the selling dealershipand myself I had enough and traded in for my present TT.
Gulf- Junk NEVER AGAIN!

Hi All!
Well our historic family camping season has officially come to an end, I winterized the trailer and put behind the house. Tomorrow we'll clean out the cupboards , the bathroom cabinets and some of the clothes and that will be it, wait till next season.:(
Sold another plow today, yup Gerry's favorite ! lol The Meyers got loaded up today and headed off the the North Shore of Massachusetts, now just got to finish up the eight others I have in various stages of completion. :R

I may be interested, but it would probably be a last minute decision for us as it all depends on how much snow we have and if I can get the camper out of the backyard by then.
With that tundra you have just north of the border, you can have your own ice road! Keep a wide path open all winter and wet it down just a few days before the weekend and you can have your very own "Ice Road" out of your yard! If you do that we'll be calling you the Ice Road camping queen!, lol

Ok enough of negative thoughts, anyone up for an "RV. Net Northeast Ice Breaker Rally" next April? Maybe Meredith Woods or Normandy Farms where they have a nice indoor pool and hot tub? Open for other suggestions as well.I would be interested, gotta check the travel distances, though...
Looks like Normandy Farms might work, not the other one.
How about that Rhode Island State Park that the IRV2 NEstrs just had their fall rally? Fishermen's Memorial State Park
Fisherman's Memorial may be a bit cold in early April, I thought an indoor pool would be appealing after a long cold winter.
If anyone else is interested let me know and I'll see what is available at Normandy Farms.

Gerry I'm surprised , you of all people know that its October and in Baseball , if its October and its the American League you now Boston will be there, unlike that team who wears those funny pin stripes, hmmmmm :@I can't seem to remember that teams name is since it's been nearly a month since they took the field :p
So if you turn on the Game tonight you will be seeing The World Champion Boston Red Sox vs those Devilsh Ray's from Florita! Tne Sox have forced the Ray's into Game 7 of the ALCS, hopefully they can preserve their record of being the come back kings in the post season!
Gerry you should really have your MD look into that short term memory issue you seem to be having :W. I from time to time have the same problem , but I never have any problems with the long term memory, I haven't forgot about the 3-0 deficiet the Sox overcame to push those pin-stripe uniformed guy's out of the World Series , hmmmm wait :h..... was it the 07 World series or the 04 World series, hmmm that darn memory thing is kicking back in again :B.

Hey Gerry
Do the Kancagamncus tomorrow, head over to Loon and Lincoln, once in Lincoln head north up through the Franconia Notch, to Littleton ( nice little village). You can continue to make the loop back by The Cog Railway, and the MT Washington Hotel then head back via Crawfords Notch ( also known as Norfords Crotch) into Glen and North Conway. Very scenic and lots of neat places to see.

Hi All !
Well another great rally in the books!
The DS was fine when we got there, no issues at all, no line either! lol
We also had a very nice trip home, no accidents, no heavy traffic and no tree cutters!
Mikey from Copakey, I have your water hose, and the directions to your rack game? So if your in town next weekend I'll have it for you, if not I'll need your address to ship the stuff to you.
I'm writing this part with heavy heart since next weekend we'll be winterizing and putting the trailer directly behind the house, calling it a quits till next season, with that it brings an end to the greatest camping season I have ever enjoyed, :(

Hi All!
Well day two is shaping up to be a fine one weather wise, can't say the same for some of the attendies! lol
Big thanks to Steve and liz for the over the top techno gismo's! The rv. net rally group was treated to a presentation of the Sox's beating the Ray's on thier big screen via their power point projector, tuner and amplfier, we were the envy og the CG!
So we will be looking forward to our "Early Bird" pot luck with Gerry's turkey and other fine delights along with the Halloween trick or treat activities for the kids and some of the bigger kids as well!

Hi all!
Gerry have a safe trip up!
Going to be a busy next couple of days around here! Ton of plow stuff to do and get the trailer ready! Might re-think coming up Thurday night since we won't get there till eight! Maybe just leave early Friday AM and arrive just in time for breakfast with Mike and Gerry?
We'll have to see what I get done around here tonight, if I get everything done maybe a Thursday afternoon departure, I'll be sure to send out a warning when the circus will be town! lol

What no full hook ups? Just a measley 15 amp outlet? I know a campsite down in Jersey, beats that place by a mile! Full hook ups, pool boy, nice hosts, but crazy Neighbors!:E
